Run the setup wizard
Turn how your agency sells, bills, and tracks time into real settings with the ten-step wizard, and change any answer later.
The setup wizard turns how your agency already works into settings, without a call. Every answer writes to the same page an admin would otherwise edit by hand, so nothing here is a second configuration.
Steps
- The first admin to sign in lands on Setup. To open it later, go to Help & records in the sidebar, then Setup wizard.
- Your agency: name, website, logo, team size, and the services you sell. Each service becomes a department. Paid media and influencer departments are flagged to track external spend.
- How you bill: monthly drawdown retainer, fixed monthly fee, hourly, project or deposit, and media pass-through. Pick everything you sell; each project later chooses one.
- Rates: the seniority ladder and hourly rates that proposals, estimates, and budget-to-hours conversions start from. The default ladder runs Associate through Director.
- Time tracking: how the team logs time, rounding, required notes, what happens to a submitted timesheet, when periods lock, and default weekly targets.
- Invoicing: cadence, payment terms, and the bank or wallet details printed on invoices.
- Proposals and agreements: who signs for the agency.
- First clients: up to five, each with a first project on its billing model. A retainer amount opens the current month's period so pacing works from day one.
- Your team: people, a role preset each, an optional department, and an emailed invite.
- Modules: whether the CRM is switched on.
- Click Go to dashboard on the final step. It summarises what was configured with a link to the settings page that owns each answer.
How do recommendations work?
Later steps start from earlier answers, and a panel at the top of each step says why. An agency that bills hourly is offered 6-minute rounding and required notes because every entry ends up on an invoice. A retainer agency is offered invoicing in advance on the 1st plus a monthly usage statement. Media pass-through shortens payment terms because the money has already gone out.
Where each answer lives afterwards
| Answer | Where to change it |
|---|---|

| Departments | Settings, then Departments |
| Retainer term, signer, bank and wallet details | Settings, then Brands, the primary brand |
| Rate ladder | Settings, then Rate cards |
| Time-tracking rules | Settings, then Time tracking |
| Clients and projects | Clients & projects in the sidebar |
| People and per-person targets | Team |
Notes
The team step respects your plan's seat ceiling. If some invites are held back, the wizard tells you which, and you can archive people or choose a larger plan under Manage seats and add-ons.
Questions
Can I skip steps?
Yes. Every step except the first can be skipped. A skipped step stays in the wizard's sidebar and can be answered later.
Can I re-run setup after finishing?
Yes. Open Setup wizard under Help & records in the sidebar. It reopens with your previous answers filled in. Only a real admin can run it.
Are the recommendations binding?
No. They are defaults based on earlier answers. Change anything before you continue.
