Find anything with search
Use one search box to find clients, projects, teammates, proposals, invoices, sidebar pages, and settings by the words you naturally use.
Verbial has a lot of surface area, and the fastest route through it is almost always the search box at the top of every page. Click it, or press Cmd+K, and start typing.
What it searches
- Your records: clients, projects, teammates, proposals, invoices and estimates.
- The pages in your sidebar, including any you have hidden.
- Your settings, down to individual fields rather than just the page they sit on.
Finding a setting
Settings are the part worth learning, because the thing you want is often one field on a long page. Type what you would call it rather than the name of the page.
- "meta" or "facebook" offers the Meta pixel and its conversions setup.
- "net 30" offers the default number of days before an invoice is due.
- "2fa" offers your own two-factor sign-in, and for admins the policy for everyone.
- "round robin" offers lead routing, "gusto" offers payroll, "emv" offers the coverage value multipliers.
Each result carries a line saying where it lives, such as Settings, then Brands, then Tracking. Open it once and you will know where to go next time.
Common questions
Can I find a setting without knowing which page it is on?
Yes. Type the name you use for it. Searching meta or facebook offers the Meta pixel, net 30 offers the default invoice due date, and 2fa offers two-factor sign-in. Each result shows where it lives, so you learn the location as you go.
Will search show me things I am not allowed to open?
No. Every result is filtered to what your role and permissions already allow, so you never land on a page that turns you away. Someone with different access searching the same word sees a different list.
Does the keyboard shortcut work everywhere?
Yes. Cmd+K on a Mac, Ctrl+K on Windows, from any page. Press Enter to open the first result and Escape to close the box.
