Volume pricing

Agency management software for social and content agencies

Content agencies sell volume, and volume is where margin quietly disappears: one more revision round, one more asset outside scope, repeated across thirty clients. Verbial prices the work as packages and warns you when a client has spent what they paid for.

The problem

The scope is a number of assets. The cost is an unbounded number of revisions.

Revisions are the whole margin.

Two extra rounds on a video shoot can turn a profitable month into a loss and nobody logs it as scope.

Deliverables are counted in a spreadsheet.

Nobody can say with confidence how many posts a client is owed this month.

Freelancers cost more than they look.

Contractor invoices arrive after the client has been billed, so the real margin is a surprise.

How it works here

How content agencies set Verbial up

Packages
Assets, posts and videos as reusable service items with a price each. The proposal assembles from them, so scope is explicit.
Overages, pre-paid
When a client wants more, it is quoted and paid before the work starts. The monthly cap rises, then resets.
Contractor cost
Freelancers carry a cost rate, so gross margin per client is right even when the invoice arrives later.
Approvals
Weekly approvals and locked periods, so the hours behind a delivered asset are settled before you bill.

Common questions

Can I price per deliverable rather than per hour?

Yes. Packages are priced service items: a reel, a blog, a shoot day. The retainer buys a set of them, and time tracking runs underneath so you still know what each one really cost.

How do I stop revision creep?

Put the revision count in the package and the overage terms in the agreement. When a client crosses it, the overage is quoted from the same catalog and paid before the round starts.

Does it handle contractors and freelancers?

Yes. Contractors are members with a cost rate and no visibility into client revenue. Their hours land in pacing and their cost lands in margin.
