Connect Gmail, Google Calendar, and booking links
Log email both ways from your own Gmail, check free/busy across your calendars, and publish booking pages with Meet links.
Each person connects their own Google accounts. A connection grants Verbial nothing the person cannot already see, and only that person can disconnect it. This article connects Gmail, Calendar, and then publishes a booking page.
Connect Gmail
- Go to CRM, then Inbox. The connect card appears until you connect.
- Click Connect Gmail and approve the Google prompt.
- Choose whether sent mail to unknown addresses should auto-create contacts (matched by domain by default). Received mail never auto-creates.
- Every five minutes Verbial pulls recent mail and logs anything exchanged with a CRM contact onto that contact's timeline, sent and received, including the sanitised body. Internal mail and no-log matches are skipped and never stored.
Connect Google Calendar
- Go to CRM, then Booking, and click Connect calendar.
- Approve the prompt. You can connect several Google accounts, for example one per brand.
- Every calendar the account owns or can write to counts toward free/busy, so a meeting on either brand's calendar blocks the slot.
Create a booking link (currently in beta)
- On the Booking page click New booking link and pick the brand.
- Set the internal name, the public meeting name, a description, duration, buffer, minimum notice in hours, and how many days ahead people can book.
- Set your timezone and weekly availability windows.
- Add a required host pool to round-robin across teammates, and optional internal invitees who receive the invite without affecting availability.
- Save. Copy the link or open the booking page. Every booking gets its own Google Meet link; the fallback location URL is only used if Meet cannot be created.
Bookings appear on the Bookings tab, the guest receives a confirmation with an ICS file, and a reminder goes out before the meeting.
What to check
- The public booking page carries the brand's domain, logo, privacy policy link, and theme from Settings, then Brands, under Booking experience.
- Meeting transcripts from Fireflies can be attached to prospect intel through Settings, then Connections. See Slack and connected accounts.
Questions
What does Verbial read from my calendar?
Only busy times and the list of calendar names, plus permission to create the per-booking event on a calendar you own. It never reads event titles, attendees, or bodies.
Can I keep some email out of the CRM?
Yes. Add a Gmail label named No log to skip a message, or Never log to also add its recipients to your personal no-log rules. Org-wide rules live under CRM settings.
Are booking links available to everyone?
Booking links are currently in beta.
