Share reports, schedule sends, and open the client portal

Create password-protected share links, email reports on a daily, weekly, or monthly schedule, and give clients a portal for hours and invoices.

Clients see the outside of Verbial: a share link, a scheduled email, or the portal. This article sets up all three.

Share a report

  1. Open the report and click Share links.
  2. Click Create share link. Add a label, an optional password, and choose whether to Allow PDF download.
  3. Copy the link. It opens on the brand's domain with the white-label theme. Views are counted per link.
  4. Revoke a link from the same panel; it stops working at once.

Email it to the client

  1. In the same panel, under Email report to client, enter up to 10 recipient addresses and a personal message.
  2. Optionally switch on Recurring delivery and pick Daily, Weekly, or Monthly. The link is emailed on that cadence until you stop it.
  3. Click Send, or Test send to yourself first.

Open the client portal

  1. Go to Clients & projects, then Clients, and open the client.
  2. In the Portal card, enable the portal and choose what it shows: an hours chart, a billings chart, and invoices.
  3. Set the session timeout in minutes.
  4. Click Generate a new password. Share the Portal URL and the six-digit password with the client. Older passwords stay valid until you remove them.
  5. Regenerate the URL if it leaks. The access log on the same card shows every visit.

The portal shows the client their dashboard, reports shared with them, and their invoices with pay links.

What to check

  • Coverage showcases are a lighter share: pick pieces in the Coverage library and click Create share link for a public page with no metrics.
  • Estimates, proposals, invoices, and booking pages also render with the brand's white-label theme. See White label and custom domain.
  • Scheduled sends run in UTC and keep the same time of day.

Questions

Can a client comment on a shared report?

Yes. Viewers can react and leave comments on a shared report, and the account team sees them on the report's comments panel.

How does the portal authenticate?

A per-client URL plus a six-digit password you generate. Sessions time out after the interval you set, and every access is logged.

Which domain do share links use?

The brand's report and portal domain when one is set, otherwise the platform address. See white label.
